About
Formal Education and Training
I graduated from Lewis and Clark College in 2015 with a Masters in Professional Mental Health Counseling and became a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in 2018. While at Lewis and Clark, I also completed an additional year of specialized training in their Eating Disorder Certificate Program where I have since taught as an adjunct instructor. As part of my graduate training, I completed a practicum placement at TransActive Gender Center, receiving specialized training in working with gender-diverse youth and their families.
In April 2020, I completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Later that year, I began doctoral studies in Clinical Psychology at Pacific University. I received a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology in 2022, and in 2023, I completed my doctoral dissertation, which focused on treatment effectiveness of restrictive eating disorders. As a component of my health psychology training, I completed practicum placements in primary care behavioral health at Legacy and Providence. My one-year doctoral internship was also completed at Providence in 2025 prior to earning my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Health Psychology in August 2025. I am currently a Resident Psychologist and am under supervision of licensed psychologist, Dr. Tara Sanderson, PsyD.
I am a first-generation college graduate and hold dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Mandarin Chinese and Women’s Studies from Portland State University, where I completed my undergraduate studies in 2010.
